KATHRYN MARCHBANK
"I create jewellery with a playful and elegant aesthetic, giving an interpretation of the forms and lines I observe in the movement and language of dance." Whether the "dance" derives from classical ballet, medical fall and recovery, or street culture, she infuses her brooches with style, grace and wit. Holding a Master of Arts from the prestigious Royal College of Art in London, Marchbank has shown internationally for almost a decade in many well-known annual exhibitions such as Dazzle Contemporary Jewellery (London) and Inhorgenta (Munich), where she was granted the "Fantasy Innovation Prize" in 2001. Her work is great fun to wear and is included in several important private collections.
