LAURIE HALL

One of the most significant "narrative" jewelers in the United States, Laurie is one of the artists who studied at University of Washington, Seattle, under famed master Ramona Solberg in the 1970s. Laurie combines compelling artistry and impeccable craftsmanship with wit and whimsy, finding inspiration in American cultural experience.

Her signature style combines found objects with metalsmithing techniques that often push the boundaries of traditional practice. She has participated in countless exhibitions from 1973 to the present and has received many awards and accolades, most notably the American Craft Council Award of Distinction. Her work is in numerous important private and public collections, including Museum of Arts and Design, New York; The Helen Williams Drutt Collection, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and Daphne Farago Collection, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
