MARGAUX LANGE
"Whether you love her or hate her, there are few who feel neutral about [Barbie,] the plastic princess...," states the artist, a 2001 cum laude graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art. In addition to Barbie's cultural references, Margaux embraces the ironic "juxtaposition of wearing the body on the body...Barbie [being] the accessory instead of the accessorized."
Margaux has shown in many exhibitions around the United States, including two featured exhibitions at Julie: Artisans' Gallery. She is included in several publications, including 500 Necklaces and 500 Bracelets, published by Lark Books.
