Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1952, Ishikawa now lives and works in Munich, Germany, where she received her degree from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in 2001. An internationally acclaimed jeweler, Ishikawa won the Herbert Hoffmann Prize in Germany in 2000, a most coveted award, granted annually to an artist-jeweler of the highest stature.

An accomplished photographer, as well, Ishikawa’s jewelry is included in the collections of the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, Schmuckmuseum, Pforzheim, Grassi Museum, Leipzig and Hiko Mizuno Collection, Tokyo.
